Raising Visibility

From the Museum of Science Boston to SXSW 2018, we participate in exhibitions, conferences, conventions and festivals to increase the visibility of the clothing challenges faced by people with disabilities. Most recently, our work was highlighted by BBC UKYahoo Style, Vogue, and the New York Times Styles.

This film by AXS Lab, led by award-winner Jason DaSilva, captures the extraordinary work of 12 diverse fellows from occupational therapy, design, and engineering, collaborating with four clients with a disability. Open Style Lab's annual summer program was held in partnership with Parsons School of Design in New York City in the summer of 2017. The program aims to create accessible clothing designs, wearable technologies, and inclusive fashion for and with people of all abilities (e.i- aging, injury, or disability).
