Research Theme

The 2016 research program examined stylish yet functional clothing. Research in garment construction techniques with material fabrication and electronic technologies, such as soft circuits, were explored by each team. Special attention was given to material sciences and the functional properties of performance fabrics when constructed into a type of garment. Other material research explored at OSL were laser cutting fabrics to alter performance and heat-infused reflective materials for seamless bonding.
