What Does Accessible Footwear Mean to you?
Our definition of accessible footwear emerged from extensive research and findings. However, we acknowledge that what constitutes accessibility in footwear varies significantly from one individual to another. This variation is profoundly influenced by each individual’s experience of disability, as each requires different adaptations or features in footwear, and different features may be prioritized over another. For some, it might mean ease of wearing and removing shoes due to limited dexterity, while for others, it could entail enhanced support and stability. We invite you to contribute your understanding of accessible footwear.
